Les panneaux sont fabriqu\u00e9s \u00e0 partir de planches de bois r\u00e9sineux empil\u00e9es comme les planches de NLT, assembl\u00e9es par friction \u00e0 l'aide de chevilles en h\u00eatre dur au lieu de clous. La DLT est le seul produit de bois de masse qui soit compos\u00e9 \u00e0 100 % de bois - il n'y a ni colle ni clous. Les profils acoustiques peuvent \u00eatre int\u00e9gr\u00e9s directement dans la surface inf\u00e9rieure d'un panneau, ce qui est unique au DLT en tant que produit de bois de masse. Pendant son s\u00e9jour \u00e0 Londres, il a con\u00e7u une s\u00e9rie de projets avec des architectes de renomm\u00e9e mondiale et a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 une expertise en mati\u00e8re de g\u00e9om\u00e9trie complexe et de structures difficiles.  Lucas dirige le d\u00e9partement d'ing\u00e9nierie de StructureCraft o\u00f9 il a \u00e9t\u00e9 impliqu\u00e9 dans des structures en bois de grande envergure, notamment l'ovale des Jeux olympiques de Vancouver en 2012 et, plus r\u00e9cemment, en tant qu'ing\u00e9nieur principal pour l'immeuble de bureaux T3 \u00e0 Minneapolis. \n<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Course Overview Dowel\u2010laminated timber is a next generation mass timber product commonly used in Europe, where it is also known as brettstapel. Panels are made from softwood lumber boards stacked like the boards of NLT, friction\u2010fit together with hardwood beech dowels instead of nails. DLT is the only mass timber product which is 100 per cent wood \u2013 it involves no glue or nails. Unique to DLT as a mass timber product, acoustic profiles can be integrated directly into the bottom surface of a panel. DLT panels processed using CNC machinery create a high tolerance panel which can also contain pre\u2010integrated electrical conduit and other service runs. StructureCraft will be the first manufacturer of DLT in North America, with a new automated manufacturing line and plant beginning production in 2017. This presentation will discuss how DLT differs from other mass timber products in its use and specification. Course Video Speaker Bio Lucas Epp Head of Engineering StructureCraft Lucas Epp is a structural engineer with 10 years of experience working throughout Canada, the UK, and New Zealand. While in London he designed a range of projects with world class architects and developed an expertise in complex geometry and challenging structures.
