En l'an 2000, deux b\u00e2timents existants, le Floral Hall et le Garden Pavilion, montraient des signes d'usure importants et l'entr\u00e9e du Jardin n\u00e9cessitait une meilleure visibilit\u00e9. Il y avait aussi un d\u00e9sir d'attirer plus de visiteurs et de toucher un public plus jeune. Des changements \u00e9taient n\u00e9cessaires. Conform\u00e9ment aux b\u00e2timents existants sur le site qui \u00e9taient en construction \u00e0 ossature bois, tout nouveau b\u00e2timent utiliserait \u00e9galement un syst\u00e8me de construction \u00e0 base de bois.
