This course explores the opportunities and challenges associated with the design and construction of modern timber and hybrid wood structures from the perspective of builders, developers, and project teams. Through a series of real-world case studies—including medical, educational, transportation, and recreational facilities—the presenters examine how material selection, prefabrication, mass timber systems, and collaborative project delivery influence project cost, schedule, constructability, and sustainability outcomes.
