Course Overview
Canada is a world leader in how it manages its forests. This presentation will look at how sustainable forest management is more critical than ever as our country deals with the impacts of climate change and focuses on protecting biodiversity and carbon-rich peatlands and wetlands. Forestry and forest products solutions will be critical to Canada’s ability to achieve a net-zero carbon economy by 2050 – and so we can keep families, communities, and critical infrastructure safer from more catastrophic fires and have healthy and resilient forests for future generations.
