Speaker Bio

Etienne Bélanger
Director of Forestry
Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC)

Etienne Bélanger is director of forestry for the Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC), he holds a M.Sc. degree in forest science from Université Laval and is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs forestiers du Québec.

Etienne joined FPAC in 2008 after completing a master on forest management certification. Etienne role focuses on Canadian forestry issues including ecosystem-based management, forest management certification and Indigenous engagement.

Etienne has a comprehensive understanding of the Canadian forestry context and his familiar with the three internationally recognized forest management certification programs used in Canada: Canadian Standards Association (CSA), Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), and Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI).
